Korea

Korea Girls’ Team has been traditionally strong in Asian Zone but relatively weak in World Level. Recently Korea Girls’ team has been trying to add more power and speed in order to survive among world volleyball.
Korea failed to qualify for the 2009 World Girls’ Championship after finishing 4th at the Asian Girls’ Championship in 2008. Also, In 2011 and 2013, Korea Girls’ team could not get the qualification for World Girls’ Championship consecutively. However, in 2014, Korea team was qualified for 2015 Girls’ U18 World Championship in Peru, the team was ranked 13th place at the Girls’ U18 World Championship in 2015. And the team finished 3rd at the 11th Asian Girls’ U18 Volleyball Championship so Korea team was qualified for 2017 Girls’ U18 World Championship.
All players of Korea National Girls’ Team have been chosen from the leading middle and high school teams. PARK Hyemin who won the best outside spiker at the 11th Asian Girls’ U18 Volleyball Championship with LEE Juah who won the best middle blocker. KOR team will started their training session from July 10, 2017 for the World Girls’ Volleyball Championship in Argentina. Every player has upgraded their performance and skills and they are confident their abilities. Therefore, this year we predict that Korea National Girls’ U18 Team will make better result.
Mr. CHO Wanki has been nominated as head coach of the National Girls’ Team for the first time. But he started national coaching career as assistant coach of KOR Girls’ team in 2014. At that time KOR team was ranked 4th place at Asian Girls’ Championship and was qualified for 2015 World Girls U18 Championship. Also, he served assistant coach of KOR Women’s U19 team in 2016. With his coaching career, he will do his utmost best to make the team strong ever and to raise players’ potential and make a good result in 2017 Girls’ U18 World Championship in Argentina in August.

The head coach of Korea National Girls’ U18 Team, Mr. CHO Wanki has been serving as a head coach of Daejeon Yonsan High School since 2016. He is very experienced to coach girls’ VB team and have won several times at national middle and high school championship.
 
 Head Coach, Mr. CHO Wanki has been nominated as head coach of the National Girls’ Team for the first time. But he started national coaching career as assistant coach of KOR Girls’ team in 2014. At that time KOR team was ranked 4th place at Asian Girls’ Championship and was qualified for 2015 World Girls U18 Championship. Also, he served Assistant coach of KOR Women’s U19 team in 2016. With his coaching career, he will do his utmost best to make the team strong ever and to raise players’ potential and make a good result in 2017 Girls’ U18 World Championship in Argentina in August.
