Twenty teams to descend on Argentina for FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship
The FIVB Age Group World Championships are biennial events, with a total of six age group championships set to be held in 2017.
The youngest of those tournaments is the Girls’ U18 World Championship. First introduced in 1989 the 15th edition of the competition will be held in Argentina from August 17 to 27, with 20 teams fighting for a medal.
Italy won their first gold medal in Peru two years ago at the 2015 edition when the tournament extended to 20 teams for the first time. USA retained their silver medal from 2013 and China won bronze by defeating Turkey.
