Daichi Saegusa is an enthusiastic but cool volleyball coach. Saegusa firstly enjoyed playing volleyball in 1992 at the age of 12 playing volleyball at the junior high school near home in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture. After his graduating from university and taking up teaching in Chile, travelling through Japan International Cooperation Agency for about two years. As for youth categories, Saegusa firstly started coaching debuted, as the head coach, for Japanese Youth Girls’ national team in 2014 and then achieved a great success becoming a champion in the 10th Asian Girls’ U17 Volleyball Championship held in Thailand in 2014 and the 11th Asian Girls’ U18 Volleyball Championship held in China, and his motto is to play each match steady and develop one by one, is heading for 1st at the upcoming Girls’ U18 World Championship 2015!

 

Six years has passed since the March 11 disasters. In order to encourage Japanese people to overcome the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster, Saegusa and his squad will go for great progress and achievements on the upcoming prestigious volleyball events in 2017!

 

It has not been long since our team was brought together; however, making the most of team spirit and thanking the organizers and those who are involved in　the competitions for their efforts and hospitality, we will do our very best. We would like to ask you to cheer for us. Leading by the head coach, Daichi Saegusa, our team is hoping to compete with dazzling performances which will catch the eyes of audience.
