The Japanese U18 Girls National team has been one of the leading teams in the world for a long time and was World Champions in the recent past.
In 2012, the Japanese Youth Girls National team won the champion at the 9th Asian Youth Girls Championship held in China but will not be easy to win in the World Championship.
The key players of the Japan’s U18 Girls team, heading for the 2017 Girls’ U18 World Championship, as well as the new head coach since 2014, Daichi Saegusa, an enthusiastic coach, are from the top of the Japan’s high-schools teams. As their school study must take preference, the U18 Girls team can gather and practice together only during some weekends and long holidays such as summer and winter.
Japan is a well-balanced team in terms of defence and offence. There are some short players in the team and they will show their speed and accuracy skills in the Asian Championship.
Japan has been looking forward to competing in official competitions and the time has now come. We will do our best.
Six years has passed since the March 11 disasters. In order to encourage Japanese people to overcome the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster, Saegusa and his squad will go for great progress and achievements on the upcoming prestigious volleyball events in 2017!
