Santa Fe, Argentina, August 19, 2017 - Belarus reached their second victory in Pool B to remain undefeated in the FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship.

The Belarusian team defeated Mexico in three sets by 25-19, 25-20 and 25-14 with Vera Kastsiuchyk as their best scorer with a total of 12 points, including 5 aces.

Once again, services have been the key for several teams. This time the pupils of Natalia Melianuk overpassed Mexico 9-1, and 8-4 in blocks.

Hanna Hryshkevich scored 11 for the team that has become the sweet surprise of the competition after outplaying Brazil in their debut.

Mexico tried to play hard against a team that has been a very tough opponent, like they showed in their debut against Brazil.

The team coached by Ricardo Naranjo showed some good individual weapons like Grecia Castro, who tallied 15 points and was in fact the top scorer of the match.

She converted the only service by her team that worked hard with the blocking game in the first two sets, but could not keep the same kind of rhythm.
