Team profile

China

China U18 girls’ team was formed in 2016 and participated in the annual China-Korea-Japan Youth Games last year. In May 2017, they took part in the 11th Asian Girls U18 Volleyball Championship and got silver medal.
The players were selected nationwide from 10 clubs, with an average age of 17.6 years and an average height of 185.13cm.
Being the talents reserve for China Women’s Volleyball Team, the girls follow the traditional principles in training and development, and strive with the goal of becoming outstanding players in the National Women's Team in the near future.

Coach

Xu Jiande

Xu Jiande

Since retired as head coach of women’s volleyball team of Zhejiang Club, Xu has been working as the head coach of China National Women’s U23 team and junior team. He guided the U23 team to the gold medal at the FIVB Volleyball U23 World Championship in 2013, and led the China Women’s team to silver medal on the Asian Games in 2014.
