Captain Valerin Carabali also reached double digits with 10 caps. On the other hand, Thailand could display their multiple digs but on the scoring department the highest number was 8 points from Piyarat Buddawong.

Colombia cruised in the opening set with Emelys Martinez and Ana Karina Olaya on the front line, creating a 25-14 score. Nothing changed when the play resumed and the team in yellow dominated 25-17, this time with captain Carabali partnering with Olaya. Although the defensive moves from Thailand were still there, Colombian girls were persistent enough to keep scoring and survive a final scare to take the match home 25-22.
